1) New Balance Real Run

Last Sunday, me and geraldine went for the New balance run 15km. we were really worried cos we didnt practice much. in fact geraldine didnt run at all ever since promos ended. while i just climbed the bukit timah hill once and ran 2.4 once on fri.


when we were at the starting line, we felt really out of place cos people were looking at us as though we cant run and some were staring at my shoes. felt really awkward.

not long after the run started, we met the 4km trail which felt super long. we ran like there wasnt an end to the road and there were many rocks and holes in the ground so we had to be careful not to trip over them. finally we saw the road and was glad the trail was over. but the road wasnt good at all. the sun was freaking hot and we didnt have much motivation to run cos we couldnt see the end of the road. it was just a straight road which was never ending. then we reached a place where it was shaddier. there were many trees so me and gel called it a forest. while running, we were figuring out how many km have we actually ran. gel said 9 km cause it felt like we have been running for a long time. and we were so shocked when the board ahead showed: 6km. so we just ran and ran and ran till we saw the loop. then geraldine felt numbness in her hands and had to rest. so we slowed down.

then we reached the beach which was horrible! the sand was like soft and holey cause many people ran on it alr. and to make matters worse, we were running on a slope so we just kept sliding into the holes. so we decided to walk cos it used up alot of our energy. as we were on our way back we decided to walk for 1 km and we talked all the way. then when we were approaching the exhibition centre we decided to run. it was really tiring cos there was still a long way to the end. and when i saw the red barrier, i just sprinted all the way and couldnt wait to end the whole thing. saw my timing: 2hours 12 mins. wasnt good at all but at least we completed our 15k!!!! :D


after the run we had ice cold 100 plus which felt damn good! then we watched the prize giving ceremony while jia jin the auntie waited for the lucky draw results but he didnt win anything. hahah all of us didnt feel like moving at all so we just sat there till the "concert " ended.


after that went for lunch with gel and her sister, vicky. then went to gel's home to bathe before going out.


all in all it was a great day :)
